Snowmobiling
We are located off trail #2 in the western zone of the Upper Peninsula. Trail #2 is a key link to all the Upper Peninsula East and West Trails. We have ample parking room for your trailers and other gear.
You will need an annual trail permit.

Trail permits are available locally (we do not issue trail permits).

It is legal to ride snowmobiles and ATVs on all of Wakefield and Bessemer streets, and parts of Ironwood & Marenisco streets.
ATV/ORV riders and Mountains Bikers ATV/ORV riding is a big sport in the Upper Peninsula, with hundreds of miles of trails.
You will need an annual trail permit.
Michigan's public Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) trail/route system provides four types of riding opportunities: motorcycle trails, all terrain vehicle (ATV) trails, ORV routes which are open to all Secretary of State licensed vehicles, and scramble areas. In the Upper Peninsula, it is legal for ORVs to operate on state forest roads as well as the designated trail system, unless a specific state forest road is posted closed to ORV use.
Porcupine Mountains

This the Big Carp river in the Big Carp valley. This valley is an undisturbed virgin forest. It is flowing out of the Lake in the Clouds westward toward Lake Superior.
